Its About, Festival Intellectual Copyright Property

2016 Legends Of Rasta Reggae Festival Tour Dates, Crowdfunding And Infringements on the Festival’s Intellectual Copyrighted Property Update Notice

“They say imitation is a sure sign of flattery, the founder of the Bob Marley Festival Tour says, my feelings about promoters who produce any Bob Marley related events using the event’s concept format to produce a Festival.”  The Bob Marley Festival Tour was always about Love & Unity and the core messages, in all of Bob Marley music.  Since the Executive Producer and Founder Sirron Kyles, took e a leave from producing the BMFT, many promoters have held other Festivals using names like Bobfest, Legends Festival, and Marleyfest etc.

Recently it came to Kyles’s attention that the promoter of The BobFest Tour was

BMFT’s former non-profit director and in his eyes, it was not the first time his organization was guilty of Copyright Infringements. The nonprofit’s duties included editing and updating talking points of previous PSA’s and Press Releases and his use of any form of that material is a clear violation of Copyright law. “I have no problem with another promoter promoting a Bob Marley reference festival, however, I do have a problem with anyone Infringing on my Festival’s Intellectual Copyrighted property”, Sirron, says.

He goes on to say, “the actions of this former employer, and the work he perform during that time as a staff contractor, does not include rights to use my Intellectual Copyrighted property, which includes history, admissions, times, slogans and other privilege talking points of BMFT without my consent, that has always been prominent since 1990 on all event promotional and marketing material.”

Infringements Example: PSA from a recent Press Release submitted by this nonprofit to San Antonio Express Writers Quote

“The BobFest Tour, now in its twenty-first year of operation (finally legal!) and returning to us after a six-year hiatus, hosts some of the biggest names in reggae, dub and dancehall. Sunken Gardens will host the festival celebrating the life, love and music of a musician whose vibes and positivity were so impeccably ire that I just can’t even brings myself to bother with a clever quip or sarcastic pun. U-N-I-T-Y!”

“His release was not truthfully, it implies that the BMFT was not sanction; Just Saying,” Kyles stated.

Kyles says, “The campaign will allow donors the chance to have a say in the process of selecting cities from pass Tour stops among other member perks. “

“As the Festival’s Executive Producer my focus is put a stop to any illegal use of Intellectual Copyrighted property belonging to the Festival.  ” Says, Sirron

Violators are advised to give notice to any print media, social media and other marketing sources that includes information involving LORRF’s Intellectual Copyrighted property used with out LORRF’s management permission.
